Want to be apart of a prestige's and National recognized Surf Team?  We will be having tryouts August 29th through September 9th.  You MUST have an Athletic Physical on file with the athletic department before trying out.

Click on link to Surf Team website on left side of Home Page for more tryout info.

Tryouts for all non-returning (new) players will take place on September 6th & 7th.  Click on the attachment below for more info.

Attention:  All 9th Grade Girls Interested in Playing Softball at SCHS this Year!  There is a one day camp this Saturday, August 27th from 9am – 1pm at the Varsity Softball Field.  You will have an opportunity to meet the coaching staff and current players and see why Triton Softball is Back-to-Back League Champions!  You must have your Athletic Clearance Packet on file with the Athletic Office.  Go to the Triton Softball website to sign up!

Over 1,400 students participate on 67 different athletic teams.  San Clemente Triton athletic teams are top contenders in the competitive Coast View Athletic Association of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).  San Clemente is consistently ranked among the top overall athletic programs in Orange County and the CIF-SS!  Last year (15-16), out of the 25 varsity sports that were offered, the Tritons achieved thirteen (13) League Championships including girls’ golf, softball, girls’ surfing, girls’ tennis, girls’ volleyball, boys’ basketball, boys’ golf, football, boys’ lacrosse, boys’ soccer, boys’ surfing, boys’ tennis, and boys’ track and field; and, 23 of 24 CIF-SS varsity teams qualified for the playoffs!  Over the past thirteen (13) years, the Tritons have won eighteen (18) CIF Championships (five in girls’ basketball, five in girls’ soccer, three in wrestling, two in boys’ soccer), three (3) State Championships (one in boys’ soccer, one in girls’ soccer, one in girls’ cross country) and seven (7) National Championships (in surfing).  In 2016, our Football team was a back-to-back CIF Finalist, Rachel Tilly was a World Champion in Surfing, Cole Fotheringham was the Sea View League overall Athlete-of-the-Year; and, twenty-four (24) of our graduating seniors signed National Letter of Intents to continue their athletic careers at the four-year level.  And finally, probably the most important statistic, 20 of 22 varsity athletic teams received Academic Distinction from the California Interscholastic Federation for having a cumulative (unweighted) GPA of 3.0 or higher; simply, amazing.

Attached you will find online instructions for athletic clearance along with the physical exam form for the 2016-17 school year.  You will complete all medical history and sign off on all informed consent forms online.  The physical form will be used by the Doctor for your actual physical exam.  Once completed, print the confirmation page, and return it to the athletic office along with your completed physical form and copy of your insurance card

Important:  You must have this completed PRIOR TO SUMMER in order to participate in summer workouts/practice/tryouts.
