         PROM 2018 - Midnight in Manhattan



Saturday, May 19, 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm


  1. The 2018 Junior/Senior Prom will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Yost Theater, 307 N. Spurgeon St, Santa Ana, CA 92701. The dance begins at 8:00 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m. NO STUDENTS WILL BE ADMITTED AFTER 9:00 P.M. UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH THE ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR, MR. REID. Parents will be notified if their child does not check in. If you are unable to attend, please call the Activities Office (during school hours) 949–492–4165, ext. 13016
  2. Students may not leave the dance until 10:00 p.m. Those who leave at 10:00 p.m. or after will not be readmitted.
  3. Students must be picked up within 15 minutes of the conclusion of all dances. Students being left at the venue longer than 15 minutes past the conclusion of the dance will not be allowed to attend their next formal dance.
  4. District policy states that all guests must be UNDER the age of 20 years and 11 months and middle school students may not attend. San Clemente HS students and their guests must complete the guest contract and are required to abide by all school rules and the terms of the contract. Anyone exhibiting disruptive behavior will be removed from the dance, parents will be notified, and no refunds will be given.
  5. Semi-Formal attire is required. Ladies may wear dress slacks and blouse or dresses, and gentlemen must wear dress shirt and dress slacks along with a coat and tie. Beach type sandals, combat boots, shorts, corduroy and jeans are not allowed. Dress code applies to school dances
  6. According to Board Policy 5144.1, "Students are to be recommended by the school principal for expulsion if they are found: Possessing, using, or being under the influence of any controlled substance, alcoholic beverage, or intoxicant of any kind." Students who are in violation of this policy will be suspended and recommended for expulsion. The sheriff will be notified, and the parents will be called to escort their child home. All students will be breathalyzed coming into the dance.
  7. Students may be checked by private security for illegal or controlled substances prior to entry to the dance area. Any student who refuses to be checked will be denied entry.
  9. All students must present their student ID at the registration table. All guests must present their high school ID or valid picture identification to be admitted to the dance.  For school dances, the ID card must be presented. Phone app barcodes do not contain photo ID to confirm user’s identity.
  10. Trading or selling of ticket between students is not allowed.
  11. Students removed or denied entry will not be given refunds. In these cases, parents will be called.
  12. Any student who is dancing inappropriately may be removed from the dance and lose privileges to attend future activities and disciplinary actions may be taken.
  13. Students who violate the terms of this contract are subject to suspension from school and loss of privileges to participate in any co-curricular and extracurricular activities including athletics, senior activities, and possibly commencement exercises. The SCHS student and his/her parent are responsible for the guest's behavior. If there is a problem with a guest, the SCHS student will lose the privilege to bring a guest to any future SCHS dances.
  14. We will be serving an assortment of desserts, fruits, water and soft drinks throughout the evening.
  15. Students with 5 or more period truancies, along with students on Step 3 or higher of disciplinary contracts will not be allowed to purchase tickets to dances.
  16. TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED BY 1:00pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Please note the pricing structure for this event.
  17. No refunds will be issued after 1:00pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018.



2018 Prom

Saturday, May 19, 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm


Tickets may be purchased at the Activities Office before school, at break and at lunch daily.  Please note that tickets are never sold during class time or after school.  Tickets may also be purchased online (except guest tickets) at  Ticket prices are as follows:


April 23 through May 6 ---------------------- $75 with ASB card; $85 without ASB card

May 7 through May 13 ----------------------- $85 with ASB card; $95 without ASB card

May 14 through May 17 at 1:00 PM -------$95 with ASB card; $105 without ASB card


Please note that tickets for Prom will not be sold after 1:00 PM on May 17th.  





All students getting dropped off must approach the Yost Theater and drop of using the following directions:


Take the 5 freeway North.  Exit 4th Street and turn left.  Then Left on French Street and right on 3rd Street.  The drop-off location will be along the curb along 3rd street in front of the Yost Theater.  


Students driving themselves may park in the parking structure located at 4th Street and Spurgeon (directly across from the Yost Theater).
