Tickets on sale:

April 22 - May 5   $80 with ASB card, $90 without ASB card

May 6 - May 12   $90 with ASB card, $100 without ASB card

May 13 - May 16 at 1:00 PM   $100 with ASB card, $110 without ASB card

***Please note, there will be NO ticket sales after 1:00 PM on May 16th.***

Guest contracts must be turned in completed when purchasing tickets. No guest ticket may be purchased online. SCHS student must purchase both their ticket and the guest ticket at the Activities window

 

PROM CODE OF CONDUCT AND SCHOOL POLICY

  1. The 2019 Prom Dance will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point Harbor. The dance begins at 8:00 PM and end at 11:00 PM. NO STUDENTS WILL BE ADMITTED AFTER 9:00 PM UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH THE ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR, MR. REID. Parents will be notified if their child does not check in. 
  2. Students may not leave the dance until 10:00 PM. Those who leave at 10:00 PM or after will not be readmitted.
  3. Students must be picked up within 15 minutes of the conclusion of all dances. 
  4. District policy states that all guests must be UNDER the age of 20 years and 11 months and middle school students may not attend. SCHS students and their guests must complete the guest contract and are required to abide by all school rules and the terms of the contract. Anyone exhibiting disruptive behavior will be removed from the dance, parents will be notified, and no refunds will be given.
  5. According to Board Policy 5144.1, "Students are to be recommended by the school principal for expulsion if they are found: Possessing, using, or being under the influence of any controlled substance, alcoholic beverage, or intoxicant of any kind." Students who are in violation of this policy will be suspended and recommended for expulsion. The sheriff will be notified, and the parents will be called to escort their child home. ALL students will be breathalyzed before entering the dance.
  6. Students may be checked by private security for illegal or controlled substances prior to entry to the dance area. Any student who refuses to be checked will be denied entry.
  7. ANY vehicle, including limousines, can be searched. ALL PASSENGERS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE AND MAY BE GIVEN CONSEQUENCES FOR ANY ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE IN THE VEHICLE.
  8. All students must present their student ID at the registration table. All guests must present their high school ID or valid picture identification to be admitted to the dance. For school dances, the ID card must be presented. 
  9. Trading or selling of ticket between students is not allowed.
  10. Students removed or denied entry will not be given refunds. In these cases, parents will be called.
  11. Any student who is dancing inappropriately may be removed from the dance and lose privileges to attend future activities and disciplinary actions may be taken.
  12. Students who violate the terms of this contract are subject to suspension from school and loss of privileges to participate in any co-curricular and extracurricular activities including athletics, senior activities, and possibly commencement exercises. The SCHS student and his/her parent are responsible for the guest's behavior. If there is a problem with a guest, the SCHS student will lose the privilege to bring a guest to any future SCHS dance.
  13. We will be serving an assortment of food, desserts, water and soft drinks throughout the evening.
  14. Students with 5 or more period truancies, along with students on Step 3 or higher of disciplinary contracts will not be allowed to purchase tickets to dances.
